Residential/Apartment Rental Criteria


FAIR HOUSING: NJ Standard Management is committed to following all federal, state, and local fair housing laws. It is our policy to comply with all laws prohibiting discrimination, including those that prohibit discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status, or handicap.


Please review our Rental Criteria below, which includes a detailed description of the items needed to qualify your application or items that would disqualify your application. We will verify every applicant’s employment, rental history as well as background check to process the rental application. Our credit reporting agency evaluates credit and rental history against indicators of future rent payment performance. An unsatisfactory finding may result in the requirement of an additional deposit, guarantor, or denial.


Rental application and application fee

  • Every occupant age 18 and over must submit a rental application
  • The application fee is non-refundable
  • Please note that if your application has been denied we will not contact you
  • A complete and accurate application is required for processing


Photo I.D and Social Security Number

  • A valid government issued photo I.D and Social Security Number is required to verify applicant’s identity and information.


Income Requirements and Background Check

  • Income must be 3 times the rent amount on a monthly basis (net)
  • One month worth of paystubs required
  • A credit score of 700 and above required
  • No past due or collection accounts on screening report
  • No eviction or bankruptcy on screening report
